I’ve been thinking since we started this challenge about mentors and whether I (or you) need a mentor to help you in your quest for online success.
I have taken training from several “successful” people over my years of trying to succeed online. Some were good and some were OK and others truly awful.
Looking back, at least at first, I had NO idea about online business and I fell for the “just a few clicks and you can make money overnight” type of thing – gullible, I know, but I really had no reason not to believe them.
Just to be clear… there is NO INSTANT ONLINE MONEY MACHINE spewing cash. Please do not be hoodwinked like I was. It is not just me saying this… all reputable marketers will tell you the same thing. IT TAKES WORK!
If you are looking for a quick fix, then I am sorry, but this is not the place for you.
OK , back to mentors.
I need a mentor. Period. I expect you will too.
I thought for years that I could just read this course or that course and then I could get this off the ground. While I did learn somethings, I did not get the whole picture.
Even when I thought I have learned all the parts and pieces, I could not put them together successfully. I was frustrated beyond belief.
I have been following Dean Holland for a few years now and have found him to be honest, straight-forward, personable and very helpful.
So why have I not been really successful yet?
I did NOT put what he teaches into effect in the way he teaches. I thought I knew a better way – well HELLO – who is the successful one? Not me yet!!
Listen to and PUT INTO ACTION what is taught.
You can take all the courses you want but if you do NOT follow through and take action in the way it is taught, I can almost guarantee you will fail.
As I said in an earlier post, don’t let fear stop you like I did. Suck it up buttercup and just do it!
We’ll see how well I put this into action in the Quick Start Challenge!
