So, last night we had our second training session of the Quick Start Challenge and have been given our assignments for week 2.
Week one was a relative breeze compared to week two and, as excited as I am about this challenge, I can feel that old fear creeping up again.
This week we have several tasks:
- Decide what offers we are going to promote (our own product or an affiliate offer)
- Create a Lead Magnet of some sort (that relates to the product we are promoting) to attract potential customers
- Create a list in our Autoresponder for this
- Create an opt-in (landing) page
- Create our bridge page
Now, for me, most of this is going to be too much of challenge.
I know what affiliate offer I am promoting, I know what I am using as a Lead Magnet (I just have to write it), I have already created a list in my Autoresponder (I just need to add a few emails), I have software to help me with the landing page.
That leaves the bridge page. They are really nothing complicated but I have been avoiding this type of page for ages now, always un
der the pretext that I did not know how to use it properly.
I was lying to myself!
Why is this a challenge for me?

They work best with VIDEO!
While it is not necessary to have a video, and I could actually do a Text video, this is a challenge so….
I am challenging myself to overcome my fear of appearing on video.
I don’t like how I sound, I don’t like how I look, and I get really annoyed at my left eyebrow which seems to jump up and down constantly as I speak.
Oh, I have made videos – that is how I know all this – but they have NEVER seen the light of day. Well, one exception that was as exciting as watching paint dry that I think/hope I took down ages ago.
I know that videos are very effective marketing tools, so if you can use them wisely, you will see an increase in engagement with your online business (as long as they are NOT BORING).
